Abstract
Social Justice is no longer negotiable. And Big Data is everywhere. These are two dimensions that every city will grapple with as more than half of humanity reside in urban centers. This study explores multiple case studies where a “Just Transition” toward a greener future is possible in Smart(er) Cities. The presentation dives into the past examples of intentional program design that incorporated co-benefits, equitable green careers, and decarbonization of built environments.
