Early Childhood Engagement of Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Communities

Abstract

The main barriers to early childhood engagement are systemic. I outline these barriers to assist with overcoming them and to support services planning and delivery to multicultural children and their families. A discussion of existing programs and services models that address these barriers follows. We will also discuss a current national report relating to children with a language background other then English.
