Abstract
Student diversity seems a common obstacle to providing educational opportunities for immigrant and refugee children in heterogenous countries. American educators consistently support diverse student populations and have effective ideas and systems, which may inform those supporting refugee and immigrant children. In this study, I recommend some ideas involving differentiated instruction and Universal design in learning that may be useful in supporting students of various races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and other subcategories in which students may differ from the majority.
