Implicit Bias and Decision Making: Strategies to Mange Implicit Biases in Work and Interpersonal Relationships

Abstract

Implicit bias has received particular focus over the last twenty years. Numerous studies have delineated theories about the development of implicit or unconscious gender and racial biases from its roots in the subtle responses of young children to the decisions in businesses and workplaces of all types. The current workshop provides a brief overview of the development of implicit biases and introduce participants to specific strategies to mange implicit biases in work environments and in interpersonal relationships.
