Climate Change Education from the Perspective of an Educator

Abstract

Climate change is one of the detrimental issues of the 21st century that threatens the very structure of global society. As the environment around us changes rapidly, it requires new ways of thinking and living. Although multiple interventions have taken place in policymaking, infrastructure development, and sustainable practices, education remains relatively ineffective for many policymakers with limited research from educators. Focusing on the idea of environmental stewardship as found in different religious and academic sources, this paper highlights practical ways to improve the student-nature relationship and sustainable living from the perspective of an educator.
