Floods Enchantment Induce the Significant Expansion of Urban Land Area in Hyderabad Metropolitan Sindh, Pakistan since 1990-2022

Abstract

The global urban land expansion enforced by the sprawl process in Hyderabad metropolitan is the second major urban land in Sindh. This enormous pressure on the population led to extend flood in Sindh. Flood occurrence is customary in this region since 1990. Internal migration was a predominant force for the population toward the urban portal land area. The Geographic Information System (GIS) and Remote Sensing elaborated on the changes in land use during 1990-2022.The habitual trends of flood and rate of migration are significantly causing overpopulation in this region. The result suggest a significant expansion during the reported period toward a high rate of expansion of 61 percent over time.
