Abstract
Conservatives have tried to push their agenda regarding climate change denial for a long time. This paper argues that such denial is not a sudden revelation but has cultural, traditional and historical roots. In order to examine this, the study looks into climate change denial and call it the “denialism movement.” The paper argues that the conservatives took two distinct approaches to attack climate change, the second one developed after the failure of the first. The paper examines this denialism movement with particular emphasis on the United States of America due to its prominence in the region. This paper asserts that the denialism movement might be seen to be haphazard and weak from the outside, but it is a “well-oiled machine” that functions in a coordinated manner to target climate research and policy.
