Abstract
Arts-Based Action Research (ABAR) was used in this two-fold study of collaboratively researching with youth refugee participants the impact of online/offline hate-speech and developing self-reflexive practices with their tutors who teach them FSL (French as a second language). This study considers how this was achieved in concert with creating works of art to better understand the youth participants goals to develop critical digital literacy skills and for their tutors to improve the teaching practices.
