Art Days in the Context of the Relationship Building Feature of Art

Abstract

We are all interacting with each other, another living thing that we get angry with or offend actually constitutes an aspect of us. We are all parts of a whole… In a three-day Art Days event, held jointly with Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts Painting Department and Anadolu University Turkish Teaching Research and Application Center (TOMER), 16 students from our Painting Department and 16 students from abroad who are currently in Eskişehir learning Turkish. Although they are from different cultures and geographies, they came together to emphasize that we are part of a whole by trying to understand each other. The work continued on May 16-17-18 2022 with one-and-a-half-hour activities during the lunch break. The paintings made at the end of the work are permanently displayed in the TOMER building as pieces of a puzzle to emphasize the interaction and that we are part of a whole, as well as forming the TOMER logo. This paper considers the feature of art to create dialogue and establish relationships by specifying the process and results of the study.
