Electronics for Art : Using Open Sourced Electronics for Art Installations

Abstract

This workshop is meant to introduce Arduino an other simple electronics based projects that can be used as part of an artistic work. The presentation covers: the basics of electronics and step by step projects, the importance of open licenses in art, research about arts through electronics, further resources and sustainability implications. By the end of the workshop, the attendees would have all the needed resources and knowledge to start implementing basic electronics in their projects, and they would be able to discuss the implications of sustainable electronics in their artistic discourses. An e-zine would be also sent exclusively in the presentation with a summary and a cartography with the key aspects.
