Abstract
This project collects data about professionals: light designers, light operators and electricians who work in Scenic Lighting in the Brazil. Teams, companies that develop technology, educational, research and professional performance institutions are mapped, as well as courses, training that offers certification or diploma in the area of Scenic Lighting in Brazil. The goal is to conduct a thorough recognition to understand who are the light professionals for the theatrical scene and if specific training was obtained in the area. The object of this study is the performance in Scenic Lighting in Brazil: institutions, companies, teams and light professionals for the scene design. It is hoped that this work will contribute to outline the area, give clues about the role of lighting professionals in the scene in relation to the job market and their operating conditions. In addition, to reveal aspects of the training contexts for the performance of the functions of Illuminator, technician or light operator, as well as an understanding of the area and its real demands.
