The aim of my paper is to examine how authenticity and voice of the Icelandic Contemporary Art allow us to write all current progressive tendencies, structures, and artistic patterns. The research design encompasses two parts: 1. Firstly, how the positions of the Icelandic Art’s possibilities have changed through the years, focusing on the differences in artistic institutes' opportunities to represent the Icelandic Art in abroad. 2. Secondly, what are the tendencies of the Contemporary Icelandic Art, focusing on every pattern which shown up in artistic project currently? Thusly, the thesis is that a large number of factors demonstrate that there are authentic Icelandic Art’s patterns which originally represent their cultural references. The method of artistic project’s analysis adapted to the two above mentioned problems will demonstrate the assumption.
