Abstract

Differentiation and universal design for learning can be effective strategies for engaging students at a higher level. The author presents information on what universal design for learning is, the basic foundations upon which this concept is based, the constructs necessary to consider, some strategies that have been found useful when implementing universal design for learning, concerns about technology, and her personal experience to date with implementing universal design strategies in the university classroom.
