Abstract

The relationship between knowledge assessment and organisational performance is a relatively unmapped domain. Determining intensity of knowledge in an organisation would be easier, therefore, if it were possible to deconstruct knowledge into constructs and factors. This paper conceptualizes a knowledge assessment framework derived from the OECD indicators of knowledge intensity and endogenous growth theory. The framework will be analysed at a macro-level, and then focused and applied to the micro level on which there is no current census of knowledge. This is a theoretical paper that synthesizes the most important constructs across different bodies of literature.
