Abstract

The Secretariat for Inclusion and Diversity at the University of Granada is a center that strongly supports the effective inclusion of people with disabilities and other specific educational needs in the university. Therefore, its actions are all oriented to achieve the principles of universal accessibility and personal autonomy, guaranteeing nondiscrimination, equal opportunities, and the full and effective participation of the university community. Access to information and communication is an essential element within the universal accessibility area, consolidating the accessible translation modalities as an essential tool of the design for all and that acts as guarantor of accessibility. The present article analyzes the actions that have been carried out in this university during the academic year 2017/2018 related to the modalities of accessible translation and interpreting and addressed to the university community, which is the impact of the result of its application the achievement of a more inclusive university.
