Abstract

The graduation project is the culmination of the higher education in architecture. Through this project, educational institutions may validate its graduates and check their readiness to practice architecture by assessing the accumulative knowledge and skills that the students gain during their years of education. This paper aims at investigating and exploring the common practices adopted in administering, supervising, and evaluating graduation projects in an attempt to provide the relevant experience required to develop graduation project courses. To fulfill this aim, the research adopted a comparative, analytical methodology that divided it into three parts; the first part represents an overview of the topic of graduation project, the second part contains the survey and its procedures, and the third part introduces the findings of the survey. This article provides conclusions about the graduation project identity, enrolment criteria, project topic determination, supervision, learning strategies, and assessment methods.
