Abstract

Bond’s Theatre is both exploratory and critical in approach. He expanded the margins of post-war theatre by imbuing themes of topical significance and the plays depict the impact of social forces on human condition. The paper attempts to study the thematic concerns of the plays and also bring to fore some of the meataphysical and epistemological questions raised by the author. The plays underline the unease and instability in social and political systems of the time and reflect the despair and depravity of society. In fact the plays reveal author’s attempt to start a dialogue of self-interpretation with the audience.
