Abstract

Musical intelligence (MI) is a unifying feature of the human brain and social interaction; linked with global higher education, MI allows paradigm shifts for aesthetic foundations of the human condition. Brazil’s socio-musical and conceptual frameworks allow grounded theory extensions of social learning theory within document analysis, phenomenological, and ethnographic qualitative research methods of triangulation. Multicultural elements of MI help keep the music fresh and its popularity has grown in and out of universities. Multinational and multicultural case studies explore global historical phenomena in multicultural, multiple MI: the example of Brazil is salient. Multicultural Brazilian society is examined within changing social and historical frameworks that aid in understanding a rapidly changing world of global communications and education for the arts, humanities, and jazz fusion.
