Abstract

Until recent times, women experienced the precipice of gender-related discrimination, stereotyping, and violence due to deeply entrenched beliefs and practices within the realms of the patriarchal ecosystem. Delving into a brighter side of male dominance in leadership in society, male engagement in the implementation of programs can create opportunities for women. Strategies to engage men in the implementation of programs can create advancement for women empowerment as men have a crucial role to play in the decision-making and policy-making process of various organizations. This article applied a rapid review approach to present the pressing issues that suppress the rights of women, offers strategies that several countries have adopted to champion women's welfare, and highlights the current efforts of male involvement for women empowerment. Hence, this article presents relevant literature and studies done to articulate the issues and strategies surrounding women empowerment and advocates to engage men for a feminist lens in societal laws and policies.
