Abstract

This study aimed to evaluate a program of practical education at the Faculty of Education, Humanities and Social Sciences at Al-Ain University, from the viewpoint of trainee students, and in the light of variables such as gender, place of application, and general performance average. The study sample included seventy-five students expected to graduate in the first semester of the academic year 2019–2020. To achieve the study objectives, a forty-five-item valid and stable questionnaire was designed. The mean for all the study areas was of a high value. The role of the university supervisor had the highest mean (4.50), while application place had the lowest (3.90). The results also revealed no statistically significant differences between the study sample responses in relation to gender in all areas, except for the variable of the cooperating teacher in favor of the males. Additionally, the study found no statistically significant differences for the place of application and grade point average for all areas.
