Community-Based Health and Wellness
Abstract
This study discusses the collaborative efforts of managing and administering a health and wellness clinic located in a homeless community served by interprofessional student health professions teams. The overall purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of the use of interprofessional wellness teams regarding promoting and caring for acute and chronic health issues of the clients at a homeless day shelter. Also, it is believed that the study will help better understand this vulnerable population and allow project faculty to make curriculum changes to accommodate needs in order to better serve the community.
