Abstract

Earth is the largest of the terrestrial planets in the Solar System in diameter, mass and density. It is only the planet which has a happy combination of the splendor of majestic mountains, lovely pristine lakes and dense lush green forests. Dwelling place to millions of species, including humans, Earth is the only place in the universe where life support systems exist. So, we are the natives of this gorgeous planet. Scientific evidence indicates that the origin of this planet is 4.54 billion years ago and life appeared on its surface within a billion years. Since then, Earth's biosphere has significantly altered the atmosphere and other life supporting conditions on the planet, enabling the proliferation of living organisms as well as the formation of the ozone layer which, together with Earth's magnetic field, blocks harmful radiation, permitting life in its biosphere. But now this beautiful earth is getting destroyed by its own components and natives. Geology and Fossil records show ample of evidence that the climate of earth has always been in fluctuation, and has changed naturally on time scales, but rate of change has been accelerating since 1950s. Climate is changing and it is changing very fast. We shall be worried about this change. The cause and effects, itself is the topic of this research paper with special emphasis on grazing and associated practices.
