An Evaluation of Activity Barriers among United States Nation ...
Abstract
This research addressed the presence of self-reported activity barriers in two distinct sub-groups of the older adult population—general older adults (GOA) and nationally qualified senior athletes (NQSA). Barriers to activity, as evidenced by those reported within the confines of this pilot study, may have an effect on activity levels within the older adult population, a person’s ability to be active, and individual quality of life. Unresolved activity barriers continue to impact older adult lifestyles and compound the precarious correlation between activity and quality of life.
