Abstract

This study appraised the influence of role facilitation on work engagement. A survey method was adopted, and 199 (male 63 (31.7%) and female 135 (67.8%)) randomly selected corporate workers of banks and fast food outlets in Ile-Ife, Osun State, Nigeria participated in the study. Data were collected using standardized instruments. The structural equation model (SEM) with AMOS 22 results shows a relationship between role facilitation and work engagement. The two types of role facilitation, work-family facilitation and family-work facilitation, contributed 21 percent variation on work engagement. There is a significant prediction of family-work facilitation on work engagement among participants. However, there is no significant prediction of work-family facilitation on work engagement. The implication of the findings is discussed in line with family focused organizational policies.
